Sting Sign 2023 17th Overall Pick Ryan Brown

Sarnia Sting General Manager Dylan Seca announced today that the Hockey Club has signed Forward Ryan Brown to an Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Standard Player Agreement.
After spending the 2022-23 season with the York-Simcoe Express U16 AAA team, the 5’10”, 151-pound Newmarket, Ontario native was selected by the Sting with the 17th overall pick in the 2023 OHL Priority Selection on April 21st.

Recognized for his speed and competitiveness, Brown tallied an impressive 33 goals and 24 assists through 34 regular season games played in the Eastern AAA Hockey League this season, placing him third in both league goal and point scoring. Brown also demonstrated his playmaking ability at the 2023 OHL Cup, held from March 29th through April 3rd, as he recorded 3 assists through 4 appearances.
