Sting Send Deepest Condolences to Borody Family

It is with broken hearts we announce that David Philip Borody, in his 67th year, went home to be with his Lord and Savior. Beloved husband of Mary (Smith) for almost 47 years. Devoted father of Hope Martin and her husband Wil, Janet Baron and her husband Jamie. Best Papa ever to Joshua, Alexis, Ben and David. Much loved brother to Dan (Rae), James (Cindy) and Joy (Paul) Beggs. Brother-in-law to Jim (Beth) Smith, Murray (Sandra) Smith and Don (Laurene) Smith. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in the Borody and Smith family. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Gertie Borody. David’s first love was for his family and spending time with his grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held. The service will be broadcast live on the Funeral Home facebook page at 11 am on Wednesday, March 25, 2020.

Dave spent 20 + years covering Sarnia Sting Hockey for the Sarnia Observer as well as holding the official scorer position since the team’s inception in 1994. On behalf of the entire Sarnia Sting organization we send our deepest sympathies to the Borody family and remember the passion he put in to Sarnia Sting hockey, rest in peace Dave, you will be missed.
