Sting to Host Rangers in Home Opener

SARNIA, ON – The Sarnia Sting will begin the 2017-18 Regular Season on Friday, September 22nd at the Sleeman Centre in Guelph. The Club will return to Sarnia to host 100-point scorer, Adam Mascherin and the Kitchener Rangers in the Home Opener on Saturday, September 23rd at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena.

The Rangers (36-27-3-2), who were eliminated by the Owen Sound Attack in Round One of the 2017 Playoffs, finished the 2016-17 campaign with 77 points; placing them in 6th in the OHL’s Western Conference. The Sting and Rangers split the four-game season series last year, each earning a win at home and on the road.

The game’s corporate sponsor and festivities surrounding #OHLOpeningWeek in Sarnia will be announced at a later date.

The complete 68-game schedule will be released tomorrow, Tuesday, June 6th at 10:00 AM.
